Fantasy PSL operates the website at www.fantasypsl.co.za. We are a fan-made fantasy football platform for the Betway Premiership and are not affiliated with the PSL, Betway, or any official football body.

2. Information We Collect

• Account details: email address, username, team name, first and last name
• Profile details: age, city, supported PSL team, how you found us
• Fantasy data: squad selections, transfers, points scores, league standings
• Usage data: pages visited, features used (via Google Analytics 4 — anonymised)
• Device data: browser type, OS, IP address (anonymised before storage)

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your Fantasy PSL account
• To calculate fantasy points and display league rankings
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
• To display advertising via Google AdSense
• To improve the platform through anonymised usage analytics
• To communicate important service updates

4. Legal Basis for Processing

• Contract: processing required to provide the service you signed up for
• Legitimate interest: analytics and platform improvement
• Consent: marketing emails — withdraw at any time
• Legal obligation: where required by South African law

5. Third-Party Services

• Supabase — database and authentication (EU/US data centres)
• Vercel — website hosting and serverless infrastructure

• API-Football — PSL match data and player statistics

6. Cookies

• Essential: authentication session tokens (required for login)
• Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (anonymised, can be disabled in browser)
• Advertising: Google AdSense (for relevant ad display)

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers listed above (limited to what they need), where required by South African law, or in aggregate anonymised form for platform statistics.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data while your account is active. On account deletion, personal information is removed within 30 days. Anonymised historical points data may be retained for record-keeping.

9. Your Rights Under POPIA

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and personal data
• Object to processing for marketing purposes
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa

10. Data Security

We use HTTPS encryption, secure Supabase Auth, and server-side validation on all data operations. No internet transmission is 100% secure but we take all reasonable precautions.

11. Children's Privacy

Fantasy PSL is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we discover such an account, we will delete it promptly.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be notified on the website. The date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version.
